Payment. Deposit is due to begin the project outlined in your estimate. Deposits are non refundable. We aim to please so we’ll do it until we get it right. We always make sure the project is 100% completed as outlined!

Timelines. After deposit is given & project has been outlined, we will provide you will an estimated turnaround time. This turnaround time is from the date we have **ALL content from you**. Without specific information from you, the design job can not be fully understood or planned out. If you decide to take a break from the project without informing laurendesigns, & then reappear up a month later, we can not guarantee you will still be first in line for design work. We will do out best to work you back into the schedule as time permits. Clients that disappear longer than 2 months, the project will be cancelled.

Design Versions: You will receive a specified amount of "versions" for each project and from those versions we will narrow down to one. Please note that all of the other artwork created cannot be used for any other purposes unless specified in the contract and is owned by laurendesigns. It must be purchased for additional usage(s). Each project is provided one final, prepped and ready for both print and web usage. If you need more then one logo or additional layouts for your project please let us know before the project begins. If you decide to use more then one of the versions designed, after it is created, there will be a usage and production fee charged.

Project Usage Rights: Each project is priced based upon a specific usage and should be used for that usage only. For further usage, price will be based on a case by case basis. Designs may not be used for other promotional items: ie, different website or printed materials without permission. Design pieces may not be used by another designer to profit from or call their “own”. Artwork shall not be extracted from the layers of our designs to create other designs unless specific permission is granted (we dislike seeing our work on other websites claiming to be their own…not cool). We will NOT supply "raw" or "layered" files unless specified at the beginning of the project. laurendesigns is more then happy to provide a fair estimate for creation of additional artwork for future projects utilizing specific artwork at our going production rate. Upon payment of the final invoice, reproduction rights and files for all approved final designs, for the specified usage, will be granted.

Client Revisions. Each project is priced with a certain amount of revisions after initial work is approved (unless noted). Any other changes requested by the Client shall be considered Client's alterations if they are requested after the acceptance of the design and all changes. The Client shall be responsible for making additional payments at the rate noted in the estimate if changes go beyond the number specified. We can price extra revisions if needed. Please ask for this before the project begins.

Termination. Either party may terminate this Agreement upon giving written notice to the other as specified below. Upon termination the Designer may retain any initial payment & the Client shall pay the Designer for ALL hours expended on the Project, up to the date of termination, at the Designer’s standard rates together with all other amounts due hereunder. If any legal action is needed to claim payment(s) client is responsible for ALL costs incurred.

Refunds. Once a project has been designed in full according to the agreed upon specifications, no refunds are given after approved. There is no refund on deposits.

Approval of Final Artwork. The client shall proofread & approve all final type before the production of artwork. Final proof will include artwork, size, shipping address & quantity. The email verification of the Client’s Representative shall be conclusive as to the approval of all artwork, drawings & other items prior to their release for printing, fabrication, or installation. laurendesigns does not offer proofreading unless requested in the estimate. No refunds or reprints are given after a final approved design has gone to print.

Project Rights. Other than for the promotional use of the Designer, all services provided by the Designer shall be for the exclusive use of the Clients said purposes ONLY. Designs may not be used for other promotional items, website or printed materials without permission. Upon payment of all fees & expenses, reproduction rights for all approved final designs created by the Designer for this project shall be outlined in the original estimate. For further usage, price will be based on a case by case basis.

Ownership. All drawings, artwork, specifications, & other visual presentation materials remain the property of the Designer to show in printed or online portfolios for the length of the lifetime of the artist. All preliminary concepts & visual presentations produced by the Designer remain the property of the Designer & may not be used by the Client without the written permission of the Designer. Final artwork & concepts may not be given to other artists to alter, reproduce or post online in any way without express permission of laurendesigns.

Please note that I will send all final files ONCE. Please download within 12 days these to a safe holding place. If lost and requested after the initial send, there is a $35 fee. It takes a bit of production time to locate files (usually on my back up drive), upload (which ties up the computer), and send again. I receive so many resending requests that I could spend half the week simply resending! I appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Copyright. We suggest you copyright your custom logos (and any other designs for that matter) for your own protection, we try our best to discourage people from downloading files off this site but there are people who find their way around it, so protect yourself legally! Anyone can find your work on the web and download it with a quick right click, so protect your company.

Payment of Fees. Fees are due & payable on the following schedule: 50% deposit, 50% upon completion. Payment in FULL is due before your final website is uploaded, files are provided or printed materials are shipped out. This ensures both parties have completed their part in the project.

Payments accepted. Certified and personal checks made out to Lauren Peone (allow 4-7 days to clear), Paypal at laurendesigns@yahoo.com (add 3% to transaction to cover fees), bank transfer and Money Orders. If project is projected to last more then 3+ weeks we will incorporate "milestone" pricing. This means that laurendesigns will invoice at the end of specific jobs along the timeline rather then all at once at the end.

Busy times: Certain months we tend to be busier then others. August-December is very busy, as where January-March is rather slow. Please keep this in mind when scheduling "urgent" projects. During busy times our wait can be up to 3+ weeks. At timelines that exceed 3 weeks we will not take any new jobs.

Phone Calls & Emails: Please keep these limited to important issues due to our busy schedule. The more time we talk and answer emails, the less time we have to work on your project! We could spend all day answering correspondence if we wanted! If you think you need several phone consultations, please let us know before we begin the project process. Our business hours are 10-6pm EST so please call during these hours only. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hours, misc. laurendesigns is located in upstate NY and works Monday through Friday 10-6 EST. Occasionally we will work nights and weekends but generally we like to keep this schedule. We generally don’t work on US holidays along with weekends. We will specify this in timelines but please keep in mind when scheduling “urgent” projects. Please also keep in mind that day to day changes, sickness, unexpected events and other things can get in the way of something being delivered at a specific time!
