Here is laurendesigns simple process of how a project flows, from start to an absolutely gorgeous finish!
1. Please contact us here to submit a project brief.
This is the stage where you give us as MUCH information about the project as possible. We need to know your likes and dislikes, the styles you prefer, what you like in our portfolio (even dislike, ouch)….this all helps us start off on the right foot.
2. Once you’ve determined which services or packages fit what you’re looking for, an estimate is drawn up.
This includes all pricing, details of what you’re getting and an estimated timeline. Take a peek at our pricing as we are MUCH lower then our competitors and offer the same EXACT, QUALITY work!
3. You approve the estimate and a project contract is sent to you via email.
This is a PDF that contains information to make sure that we both understand what our mutual obligations are, and that you know what exactly you are getting for your money. Please visit our policies page to preview most of the contract’s content. If you have questions please contact us before the project starts.
4. In order to move forward with a project we need the signed PDF. We require our contract to be sent back to us via email or post. Please sign, date and mail back to us. Please thoroughly read through it too. We know it’s long and boring…but it will make sure we are both on the same page.
5. A 50% deposit is required at this time.
We will not start your project before this is paid. We also need all “required information” from the contract to hit the ground running! The other 50% is due at the end of the project, before any files are handed off.
6. laurendesigns begins your project!
Now that we are all clear on the desired outcome of the project, we will brainstorm solutions and research possible outcomes. This involves reference books, websites, competitor research, market research, and searching the web for inspiration!
7. You will be sent email proofs as we move along the timeline.
Depending on the project scope laurendesigns will devise a number of designs for you to preview. Once you’ve had a chance to review the designs, you can add your input and opinions, and we’ll work on moving toward an outcome that is what you want and need in business. The number of revisions is limited to the quantity quoted on your project.
8. You’re done and ready to market yourself!
…. and have a gorgeous design, actually, an even better design then you expected! We will send all files via yousendit, a file service that allows us to upload large files for you to click and download to your desktop. If we are handling the printing you will be mailed all printed pieces within the amount of time specified. See, it’s that easy! The process may look daunting but once you get started it’s much easier then it looks!
