A little bit about me…my name is Lauren Peone (formally Lauren Yenchak in my college days). I’m an award winning art director with over 12+ years experience in the art & design field meeting all kinds of demands, from corporate within the grid type of work to bright and extremely bold graphics for extreme sports clients! I take great pride in my formal design education which consists of a BA in Fine Art & Advertising Photography and a MA in Computer Graphics Design. I’ve also taught at college level while maintaining my busy & hoppin’ freelance business. At one point I was working 60-80+ hours a week with a FT job and this one…it was insane, too crazy for this ol’ lady! I decided to simply branch out and do this, so I hope it shows in the quality of the work as I’m managing my time a helluva~lot better!
Why a blog? Blog, blog, blog…everyone wants a blog! Well, I wanted to build an online portfolio of resources that I utilize for my job. I have several HUGE bindings full of designs and photography that I like and have received a lot of complements and “I should do that too” comments. I figured I would share what inspires me with my online family, along with keeping a journal for my own reference. It’s hardly close to all of my unique binders full of years and years of artwork but it’s a start! Check back at least twice a month for new posts…sit back and enjoy all of my fresh picked designs!
